Privacy Policy

Effective 24 September 2026 · Ascendral Software

Job Site Photos files work photos and video under jobs and shares them with your crew. This policy explains what the app stores, where, and who can see it.

What the app stores

• Your content: the jobs you create (name, client, location, tags, notes) and the photos and videos you shoot or import into them, with the date, the name you entered for yourself, and on-device labels such as “cabinet” or “bathroom”.
• Where: in your own iCloud account, using Apple's CloudKit. Ascendral Software runs no server and has no copy of your jobs or photos. Photos count against the iCloud storage of the crew owner.
• Camera roll: nothing the app shoots is written to your Photos library. If you choose to import existing photos, the app reads only the ones you pick, and removes them from your library only when you choose “Move here and remove from camera roll” and confirm Apple's prompt.
• Contacts: when you invite someone, Apple's contact picker hands the app one phone number or email for that person. It is used once to look up their iCloud identity and address the invitation text. The app does not read or store your address book.
• Purchases: subscriptions are processed by Apple. We never see your payment details.
• Diagnostics and analytics: none. The app contains no analytics or advertising SDKs and makes no network calls other than to iCloud and the App Store.

Sharing

Your jobs are private to you until you invite someone. A crew invite shares every job in that crew; a job invite shares that one job. Invited people can see and add photos in what you shared, under their own name. You can remove anyone, or stop sharing entirely, from the Crew screen at any time.

Retention and deletion

Everything stays in your iCloud until you delete it in the app. Deleting a photo, a job, or the app's data removes it from iCloud for everyone it was shared with. You can also remove the app's iCloud data from Settings › Apple Account › iCloud › Manage Storage.

Children

Job Site Photos is a tool for trades professionals, is not directed at children under 13, and does not knowingly collect their data.
